She cracks me up...
Because I don't want to forget, another Ava story = ) (As background, Ava LOVES to help me in the kitchen as I am sure most two year olds do). Emma & Sophie were playing on the kitchen floor while we were eating breakfast and I asked them just to say something, "would you like to help mommy make pumpkin scones this morning?" Ava starts furiously shaking her head and says Ava turn, Ava's turn...and then with her head still shaking and her finger wagging, "too little, too little" meaning they were too little to help in the kitchen yet. She cracks me up!

Kids (Ava, Emma & Sophie) say/do the funniest things...
Hopefully, this will be a reoccurring post of funny or amazing things our girls do and say. With Ava now over two years old, the amazing and funny things are starting to come fast. We will do our best to chronicle as much as we can. This first post includes a few things from the past that we can remember. We love our girls.
10/24/11 - this morning Ava got to go to work with daddy. As they were driving away, mommy yelled "bye peanut" to Ava. To which Ava responded back "bye bye peanut"
all the time, ad naseum (referring to wipes - she is only allowed one, she took it to mean one at a time) - "just one more"
11/21/11 - usually when we go to the park, Ava brings along one of her dolls and pushes here in her dolly stroller as we push Emma and Sophie in the big stroller. This evening, Ava had put a diaper (yes, a real, size 3 diaper) on her dolly (which is very normal), but tonight, she grabbed two more...in her words "just in case, for later." You never know when your dolly might have a poopy diaper.
Also tonight, as mommy was taking off Sophie and Emma's clothes in preparation for bath time (all three of our girls usually take a bath together...but see below for the new exception), she called out for Ava to come here. Knowing what was to come next, she ran by saying "coooold" Meaning it was too cold to take her shirt off....thus she can't take a bath.
However, our little girl has graduated from taking baths to full fledged showers, and she is not even two and a half. Really. Yesterday morning, she wanted to take a shower with mommy. We while mommy was in the shower, Ava decided to brush her teeth instead. When mommy finished, Ava decide she now wanted to take a shower, so she disrobed, took her own diaper off, and hopped into the shower. She put her head under the water, lathered her own head with shampoo, and then put her own head back under the water to rinse (with mommy's help to make sure all was rinsed). Tonight, instead of taking a bath with Emma and Sophie, she took a shower....all by her self . I think next week she wants to look at used cars, sigh.

10 months
Emma and Sophie,
Wow, ten months. You two are both adorable little girls and are growing sooo fast! You are both standing on your own (for about 30 seconds), and we can tell you can't wait to start moving around like your big sister Ava. You both love "real" food (green english peas, carrots, french fries, and puffs/cheerios are your favorites), and you can both "dance" when you hear music. You are both very talkative and Sophie has said "mamma" several times. You both like to play ball, mommy rolls the ball to you and you pick it up and hand it back, over and over again. You both have extremely beautiful smiles (dimples and all) and we love to hear you giggle (Ava likes hearing that too). Oh, and on Nov. 20 (technically two days past your 10 month birthday), all three of you slept all the way through the night for the very first time....we are so proud - and thankful. We love you very much!!

So I don't forget....
Just some miscellaneous items I don't want to forget...
This afternoon we were unloading everyone out of the car after naps and Ava gave both of her sisters an Eskimo kiss...love that girl!
At dinner tonight, Sophie was sitting in a highchair at Aimee and Andrew's table and looked at me and said Mama and when I clapped and got excited she said it again multiple times with that adorable smile of hers! Love that girl! (for the record I love Emma too, but don't have any fun stories about her today...)
After baths we were all playing on Aunt Aimee and Uncle Andrews bed with Morgan and Jack and all of a sudden Jack yells "Emma's growing teeth!" you probably had to be there to appreciate how hilarious it was but truly, hilarious! Love that nephew of ours = )
