New Talents

Over the past few weeks, Ava has developed two new habits.  The first has to do with her great love of all things water - pool, puddles, splash pool, bathtub, Tucker's water dish....she has seen me blow bubbles in the pool before and for awhile now, she will stick her face just into the water in the tub and try to blow bubbles, then sit up with water dripping down and grin and laugh.  The other day, she took this a step farther and while the tub was still filling up, she put her face into the water coming down, sat back quickly, grinned and laughed, and did did it several more times.  She loves water.
The second has become our ritual of walking Tucker.  Since her birth, she usually accompanies us walking Tucker at least once a day, recently it has been everytime we walk Tucker.  Well, she has now learned how to leash him up (or at least she thinks so).  When we go out onto the porch, she will grab the leash an attempt to hook it to Tucker's collar.  Once we are on our walk, she holds the end of the leash and walks her dog (with a responsible adult properly holding the leash close to the dog's collar as to prevent the dog chasing the squirrel dragging the baby catastrophe - don't worry grandparents).  Attached is a video of her practicing her leashing skills with a canvas strap we had in the house.  Hope you enjoy as much as we do.
