Happy First Birthday Emma & Sophie!

Emma,  you are a beautiful, sweet little girl.  You want to explore everything and are a climber! The day before your birthday you went from mostly crawling to mostly walking. You giggle at just about everything these days which we love to hear.  You are also a little snuggle bug - you will stop what you are doing and come over for a hug. You love to clap your hands if you are happy about something or if you hear "If you're happy and you know it." You are talking up a storm, but we haven't heard any words yet.  You are a great eater and you finally got the hang of the sippy cup, yay!  You have also turned into a pretty great sleeper unless there is something wrong.  You will fall asleep on your own and you take good naps and sleep pretty good at night.  When we took you to the doctors on Monday you were 28 inches tall and 21 pounds. We love you very very much and are very thankful for you!

Sophie, you are also a beautiful, sweet little girl = )  You study what me or your Daddy or Ava is doing and then try your best to copy it.  Emma got a wooden stacking toy for Christmas and it took you about five tries to start stacking and unstacking it.  You are also an explorer and climber = ) Mommy has her work cut out for her!  You have a quick smile and you wave hello/goodbye to people if they tell you hello/goodbye which I am sure most babies do but your mommy finds it quite adorable! There is a song that we sing that ends "bear is now asleep, sh sh sh..." and when I sing it to you, you put your hand to your mouth and make the sh sh sh sound.  It's about the cutest thing I've seen.  You're not quite as much of talker as Emma but we've heard a few words - mama, dada... You are also a good eater but not much of a sleeper = )  You fight it as long as possible.  You were also 28 inches and 21 pounds at the doctor's on Monday. We love you and are very thankful for you!

We have the most beautiful family imaginable and can not fathom our lives without our awesome, smart, active, and cute girls. We love you.
