Sometimes on the weekend, we will let Emma and Sophie finish their "quiet time" (naps are no more) together in the same bed. They love this alone, yet together time, but it is not always (rarely/never) quiet - they are supposed to be looking at books. Today, after letting Emma go get in bed with her sister, the parents and Ava were resting on mom and dad's bed. After a few moments, we hear their door open, little footsteps walk to our door, and Emma opens the door and in an imperative, yet calm tone Emma declares "Daddy, I have some bad news. We were trying to climb the wall, and Sophie fell and hurt her foot. I need a band aid."
Have we told you how long it has been since we have had a peaceful, uninterrupted afternoon nap?
Ps, Sophie was fine...but they had not been reading.
